Drumlin is an independent news site that investigates the world using public records.

A drumlin is a hill shaped by glaciers. What you see on the surface was formed by forces underneath. That is how we approach reporting: starting with the documents behind the decisions — disclosure filings, voting records, financial reports — and then what they reveal.

How we work

• Every factual claim links to a primary source wherever possible: official filings, roll call votes, government records.

• We ask the people we write about to respond before we publish, and we report what they say, or that they did not respond.

Who we are

Drumlin is published without bylines. We know that’s unusual. It’s why we hold ourselves to showing our work: you shouldn’t have to trust us; you should be able to check us.

Funding
